چکیده
Many models have been developed in the past to predict failure pressure of a pipeline with single corrosion defect. However, most existing are conservative and may lead unnecessary repairs maintenance risk management. The aim this study is develop probabilistic prediction that suitable for assessment corroded pipelines. proposed at three levels pipe ultimate strength based on comprehensive database (consist both experimental numerical data) established study. When comparing models, it found provide unbiased more accurate predictions. Also, results reliability analysis various material properties configurations reveal performance model plays critical role determining structural

Probabilistic Pitting Corrosion Risk Assessment of Welded Offshore Steel Pipelines
Steel structures continuously exposed to offshore marine environments are prone to corrosion. This can be of major economic and perhaps of environmental significance. The risk of these scenarios occurring can be assessed using good quality data, good quality corrosion and pitting models and structural reliability assessment. Recently, improved models for the prediction of longer term corrosion ...
متن کاملInhibition of Pipelines Corrosion Using Natural Extracts
The present work is aimed at examining carbon steel oil pipelines corrosion using three natural extracts (Eruca Sativa, Rosell and Mango peels) that are used as inhibitors of different concentrations ranging from 0.05-0.1wt. %. Two sulphur compounds are used as corrosion mediums. Weight loss method was used for measuring the corrosion rate of the carbon steel specimens immersed in technical whi...

Development of an antibacterial porous scaffold for bone defect treatment
Background & Aim: The use of bone scaffolds is one of the new and efficient techniques for repairing bone defects that provide a suitable platform for cell proliferation and growth to repair the target tissue. One of the most important causes of failure of transplants and surgical procedures is the invasion of bacteria at the site of the complication and the development of severe infection. The...
